Pearls and Prohibition Soiree
SOUND SETUP
For The sound setup for this event, I brought my traditional setup with a bit of extra bass involved. I brought two 18-inch subwoofers with my two high tops to endure the sound quality that was perfect while I made sure the people could feel it in the back when putting their friends in " Jail ".
This event was fun, I got a chance to go out of my realm and mix music from the 1920s into today's dance-pop music. This event was fun to incorporate the electro-swing of music.
During the event the fundraiser had a chance to let me do a little bit of auctioning with a lawton local famuse auctioneer. This was fun to see how an auction would work and now i know i can handle small auctions.
The one Flaw
The client asked for two microphones so I brought my two wireless microphones and my wired mic. The flaw in the event was midway through the newly charged battery died on the receiver and was not picking up a charge. Apparently, this was a one-off fluke that just had to happen during an event like this. Well, I was prepared since my backup was wired on a 20-foot-long cable so yes the show did go on.
